proteins+ includes 18 amino acids, including all of the essential amino acids which must be consumed in your diet and cannot be synthesized by your own body.
proteins+ is manufactured in Canada. However, the whey protein isolate comes from cows in the US that are grass – and grain- fed and hormone free. Our Prohydroxy blend consists of: Protease I (Aspergillus Oryzae), Protease II (Carica Papaya), Peptizyme SP (Serratia), Lactase (Aspergillus Oryzae) and Amylase (Aspergillus Oryzae). The enzymes are microbial.
As per Health Canada, there are no safety warnings in regards to those who are pregnant or breastfeeding as it pertains to this product. This being said, it is always best to consult your health care provider before consuming any nutritional supplements while pregnant/breastfeeding.
Our proteins+ product, similar to most nutritional supplements on the market, has an expiry date.
We would not recommend taking the product once it expires.proteins+ has 0 cholesterol.
It is important to remember everything in moderation. A diet high in protein has been shown to be effective in assisting in weight loss when in combination with a healthy, balanced diet and regular exercise. This being said, if you find that you are consuming enough protein through your diet to meet your needs then this product may not be necessary. In addition, this product is not recommended as a meal replacement as it does not contain adequate carbs, fats, or fiber when used on its own (with water).
Genuine Health products are produced in GMP facilities with stringent allergen control and cleaning protocols, but none of these are nut-free nor are our finished products tested for nut allergens. This product is not suitable for those with severe nut allergies.
proteins+ can be used as a source of dietary protein for children, however, we only have adult dosages for our proteins+ powders.

The amount of proteins+ that you should be supplementing per day would depend on the amount of protein that you are consuming from food per day. This product can definitely be mixed with juice, milk, or in a smoothie. Water is just recommended for easier digestion purposes.
There is no sugar added but there is naturally occurring sugar. Stevia is used for flavouring of our products.
This relates to the source of our plant enzymes – lactase and amylase – which come from Aspergillus Oryzae.
All of our bottles are the smallest size to fit the product contained within. Just like food products, our products settle and what may look to be quite empty a few months after production may have been filled to the brim when made. Additionally, all of our bottles are 100% recyclable.

The high quality whey protein isolate used in proteins+ has peptides from kappa-casein in it, commonly known as glycomacropeptides. These are considered a whey protein of casein origin. That being said, intact casein is very low. The levels are not tested nor standardized, but it is estimated that intact casein would represent less than 1% of the total protein (or <25mg/serving).

Information regarding the “natural cream flavour” and “natural chocolate flavour” is proprietary, but these ingredients are 100% natural and free of MSG and other flavour enhancers. The natural cream flavour does not actually come from cream.
We have not tested proteins+ for lactose, but the protein itself is less than 1% lactose so each serving would have less than 280mg of lactose.

proteins+ contains 79mg sodium, 143mg potassium. We have not tested proteins+ for magnesium as this is not the intention of the product.

proteins+ is an isolated protein and therefore it has a very high protein content and the fat, cholesterol, lactose, casein and other components are filtered out (very little remains of these and no cholesterol remains) as they are not wanted for the purpose of the product.

proteins+ has the notice to consult with a health care practitioner for use beyond 12 weeks. The claim is linked to the content of whey protein and is required by the NHPD. Protein intake varies from person to person and the amount needed by an individual is affected by age, weight, amount of daily physical activity etc. An average person needs about 0.4 grams of protein per day per pound of body weight. For even a small women (150 lb), this is 60g and well over the 25g of dietary protein each serving of proteins+ provides.
